Cesky Krumlov (Day1)

We woke up, slightly hung over and decided it was time for breakfast (10am). We headed down to the restaurant and order the Special 99 (the hostel is Hostel 99), it is priced at 99 KC and consists of 2 eggs, 2 rashers of bacon, a big serve of home made potato fries (which are amazing), toast, and juice! An absolute bargain! We finished them off quickly and almost felt as if it was time to go back to bed! LOL! We didn’t though we decided it was time for some internet or reading. I checked my email, of which i had very little… Come on people!!! Then I went upstairs and started reading one of Mary’s books. I had brought a DVD in Kuala Lumpur and decided to check it out. It was called 28 weeks later, a sequel to 28 days later. It was terrible quality, filmed in a cinema and missing sections of the movie! It was a disgusting movie, amazingly gory and sick! We then decided that after the sickening frustrating experience we had that it was time to watch something nicer. An Australian couple were there who had recently been to China, so they had a good stash of DVDs and we ended up watching Scary Movie 4. It was outrageous and very funny!

After we finished, we wondered into town to have a look around. After a brief walk, we then returned to the hostel and decided it was time for dinner and a few drinks. We were going to go rafting down the river but it was raining and windy, so we gave it a miss. This place is ridiculous! All we do is rest, eat, rest, drink, sleep then repeat it! We had an awesome dinner, same as the night before and had about 3-4 Black Russians. We had the nice waitress from the night before and so we tipped her 100 KC (about 8 AUD) she was surprised but accepted with a big thanks! We then headed off to bed. I am now reading the beach, the book that the movie was based on. Its quite interesting as it is based on backpacking, and i am backpacking. Although the book is more hardcore backpacking. One of the guys in our dorm came back from the pub after consuming 5 absinthe shots. He was amazingly drunk and provided a fair amount of entertainment for us all. We all got into a laughing fit and spent a good part of an hour laughing at pretty much nothing. We were all exhausted from all the work we had done… NOT! But we were sleepy and got to sleep around 12.

Onto Vienna tomorrow, for two nights then the run to Paris before the Festival in Prague.

Seeya soon,
Geordie!
